Established in 1968, the Psoriasis Association aims to fund, promote and disseminate the results of research into psoriasis, raise awareness and provide information, advice and support to those whose lives are affected by psoriasis. The Psoriasis Association largely funds PhD Studentships but is involved in larger grants ensuring the patient and public involvement voice is heard. The Psoriasis Association supports people via telephone and email helplines, websites with online forums and social media, currently Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Working with regulatory bodies such as NICE and the SMC helps ensure people have timely access to treatments.
