Networks and groups

We connect our member charities and supporter organisations through several networks and groups to encourage collaboration and shared learning.

Impact Coffee Club

This group is for anyone in our member charities or other UK funding and research organisations with a passion for improving medical research for patient benefit or impact.

Jointly organised with NIHR, we meet several times a year to share learning on impact-related topics and network with each other.

If you would like to join the group’s mailing list please get in touch with our research, data and impact manager, Jocelyn.

COMMSunity

This group is for anyone working in our member charities or supporter organisations with an interest in communications.

We meet every three months to share learning on communications and network with each other.

If you would like to join the group’s mailing list please get in touch with our communications manager, Leo.

Policy and Public Affairs Working Group (PAWG)

This group is for anyone working in policy or public affairs in our member charities or supporter organisations.

We meet twice a year to share updates on key policy and public affairs issues and network with each other. We also host two webinars annually.

Ad-hoc updates on emerging policy developments are regularly shared with the group via its mailing list.

If you would like to join the group’s mailing list please get in touch with our senior public affairs officer, Rohan.

Researchfish User Group

This group is for anyone working in our member charities that uses Researchfish: an online evaluation system for collecting information on outputs, outcomes and impacts of research.

We meet several times a year for catch up meetings or workshops. Catch up meetings focus on the latest developments in the system itself whilst workshops aim to help us with analysis and dissemination of the data we collect through Researchfish. We also host webinars.

If you would like to join the group’s mailing list please get in touch with our senior data and impact officer, Eva.

Research Management Working Group (RMWG)

This group is for anyone working in research management in our member charities, supporter organisations and other organisations we work closely with.

We meet every three months to share learning on research management issues and network with each other. We also run a closed online forum on Yammer, which allows us to freely post questions, discuss issues we’re facing, and ask each other for advice and support.

A monthly e-newsletter with relevant updates from AMRC and important news from across the sector is shared with the group.

If you would like to join the group’s mailing list please get in touch with our senior research officer, Alice.
