What's happening News Submit your examples of joint working for the Aisling Burnand Award 2025 AMRC champions, supports and connects UK medical research charities, helping them fund the best research and improve health for everyone. This year, we launched our new strategy and are keen to focus on the ‘Connect’ aspect of what we do, supporting our members to share learning and collaborate. As part of this, for this year’s Aisling Burnand Award, we’re asking AMRC charities to submit examples of joint working. We’re looking for instances of our charities working together to share, apply and strengthen best practice in research. This could be co-hosting events, developing tools, sharing resources or anything else that’s helped to share learning between those in the research community. To apply, please submit up to 500 words on your example(s), outlining who was involved, what was done (the output), what was achieved by doing it (the outcome), and any challenges and opportunities that arose. Email your submissions to [email protected] by 27 November 2025 to enter. The Aisling Burnand Award, launched in 2023, is in honour of our previous CEO, who passed away in 2022. Aisling left money to AMRC and, as members were always her priority, we want to honour her by using this in a way we know she'd approve of - to celebrate our members. The award will run for five years (2023-2027), each year focusing on a priority area for AMRC. Last year, following a general election in July, we asked AMRC member charities to submit their best examples of advocacy outputs. In 2023, as part of our Festival of Partnerships, we launched a call to AMRC members for submissions of short videos that celebrated charity collaborations. We'll announce the winner at our Annual General Meeting, taking place online on 11 December 2025. Manage Cookie Preferences
