British Society For Research on Ageing logo

The BSRA was formed as the 'Club for Research on Ageing' prior to 1939 and thus has a valid claim to be the world's oldest scientific society devoted to research into the biology of ageing. Our aims are I) to disseminate research into the processes, causes and effects of ageing, through our annual scientific meeting and such other workshops and joint dissemination activities ii) to promote excellence and seek to build capacity of the UK science base in gerontology through provision of research funding and iii) to further the education of the general public alike through outreach and public engagement.
