Founder and Chair, The Lewy Body Society

Ashley Bayston founded the Lewy Body Society after her mother was diagnosed with Lewy body dementia (LBD) in 2005. Wanting to support whatever charity was dedicated to LBD, she discovered there was none and formed the LBS, whose mission is to fund research and raise awareness.

A retired human rights and employment barrister, Ashley writes screenplays and children’s books. She is on the committee of the Newcastle Brain Tissue Resource.
