Registration will open on Monday 8 April! This joint conference brought to you by AMRC, ABPI & NIHR aims to inspire and inform the sector to better establish links with experts by experience, to create a more inclusive and relevant research environment for patients and the public. Through asking fundamental questions of and exploring case studies from those who have pushed boundaries and developed new ways of partnering, the benefits of collaboration will be amplified.

Patients have a crucial role in medical research, not only as participants but as active collaborators. From generating research questions and designing clinical trials, to participating in complex research studies and developing personalised interventions, patients enrich the quality and real-world relevance of medical research. This event will promote the role of patients in medical research by showcasing examples of patient involvement. Sessions will focus on patient, carer and public experience and examples of good practice from across the sector. We will explore themes such as patient involvement in clinical trials, pioneering partnerships and how the ABPI’s recently updated Code of Practice can support partnerships. We’ll also investigate the challenges facing medical research today, including complex innovative design clinical trials and digital technology in healthcare.
