Last week, 35 European Nobel Prize-winning scientists sent a joint letter to the Prime Minister and President of the European Commission calling for the closest possible post-Brexit cooperation between the UK and EU. Following publication of the letter, the Francis Crick Institute released a survey of over 1000 of its staff, which found that 97% of its scientists believe a hard Brexit would be bad for UK science - read AMRC's reaction to this. The letter and survey received widespread media coverage including an interview with Sir Paul Nurse, Director of the Crick Institute and Nobel Laureate, on the Radio 4 Today programme.
