The full list of members of NHS Assembly has now been revealed. It includes representatives with a wide range of experience, including national and frontline clinical leaders, patients, carers and staff representatives. Members of the voluntary sector are also represented, including by Chief Executives of several AMRC charities: Alzheimer’s Society, Stroke Association, Macmillan Cancer Support and British Heart Foundation. The announcement follows the appointment of Dr Claire Gerada and Professor Sir Chris Ham as co-chairs of NHS Assembly a few weeks ago.

NHS Assembly will be advising the boards of NHS England and NHS Improvement to support the delivery of the NHS Long-Term Plan. Following the success of a collaborative approach during the development of the plan, it is hoped that forum like the Assembly can be an effective way of representing needs and priorities. The group will be meeting quarterly and will be consulting with the wider sector.
