Future Advocacy, a think tank focused on maximising the opportunities and minimising the risks of artificial intelligence, is undertaking research on behalf of NHS England to help turn the Code of conduct for data-driven health and care technology  principles into policy.

Companies are developing healthcare tools that use artificial intelligence (AI), and NHS England’s Code aims to enable their safe, ethical and effective development and adoption.

The research Future Advocacy undertakes is a really exciting project with the opportunity to materially influence how AI is developed for the NHS, potentially impacting the health and well-being of millions of NHS patients in the UK. Moreover, given how closely the development of AI regulation in the UK is being watched worldwide, the recommendations made as a result of this research are likely to influence policymakers in other countries too.

Future Advocacy is very keen to hear from interested patients, their relatives and their representatives and are organising a round table discussion at Conway Hall in Central London, on Monday 8th April, between 10am and 1pm.
