The Health Research Authority (HRA) has launched their consultation on transparency and openness in health and social care research. The consultation, called Make it Public, is seeking views from people across the health and social care research landscape, from patients and carers to researchers themselves of course, sponsors and funders.

Individuals and organisations can participate by completing an online survey or by attending a face to face workshop. There will be sessions in Manchester, Belfast, Cardiff and Edinburgh, following a session in London earlier this month.

Transparency about the type of research taking place and its findings is of great importance to patients, the public and research professionals. Transparency helps to build trust and accountability, avoid duplication of effort, and improve the quality of research.

AMRC is responding to the consultation on behalf of our member charities to represent the collective medical research charity voice. Members will be sent a draft response for comment ahead of submission.
