About the group

AMRC holds comprehensive information about our members and the research they fund. We collect and analyse this data to provide an authoritative sector overview for members and other stakeholders. The data advisory group examines how data from AMRC members is used; membership is open to all AMRC member organisations. The group considers potential data analysis, recommends how data should be stored and shared appropriately and advises AMRC executive council on their appropriateness.

AMRC’s data policy (2013) outlines how data will be requested, analysed and published and what data is shared. As part of the policy, a data advisory group will be set up to examine how data from AMRC members is used. Membership is open to all AMRC member organisations.

Aims

The Data advisory group will consider potential data analysis, recommend how this data may be stored and shared appropriately and advise AMRC executive council on their appropriateness.

The group will be of particular importance when considering the handling of sensitive information and any analysis including sub-groups of AMRC members.
