Chair of Science & Research Policy, University College London

Graeme has spent much of his career at the interface between science and government. He is Professor of Science and Research Policy at UCL where he teaches at postgraduate levels. Graeme was specialist advisor to the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee on Science & Technology for their work on industrial strategy and, previously, for two reports on science and Brexit.  He has led science and innovation policy reviews for the Scottish Funding Council and the Welsh Government. Graeme is also a member of the Council of Research England, Chairman of the Campaign for Science & Engineering and strategic advisor to the National Centre for Universities & Business. Until March 2014, he was Head of Research Funding in the Department of Business Innovation and Skills.
