At Health Data Research UK their mission is to connect health data to make discoveries that improve people’s lives. They are doing this by running a UK-wide programme that will create a way to safely and responsibly use health data at scale for research and innovation.

This four-year programme, which started in September 2018, will create ‘Digital Innovation Hubs’ across the UK. It is funded by the government via the UK Research and Innovation’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.

To ensure this work delivers real benefits for people living in the UK they want to hear from patients and the public to help them design and define the requirements for this programme. In particular, they'd like your views on how to embed patient and public engagement and involvement in the Digital Innovation Hub Programme and your thoughts on how to earn trust in how health data is used for research.

This is one of a series of engagement events as part of HDR UK's ‘design and dialogue’ phase.

The event will be chaired by an independent facilitator and is organised in partnership with the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC) and is free to attend.

A buffet lunch and refreshments will be provided.
