An essential partnership

"An essential partnership: principles and guidelines for working with industry” provides in-depth advice and guidance for members wishing to enter into collaboration with representatives of the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other healthcare industries.

Originally launched as a discussion document on 14th June 2007, the final version of “An essential partnership” has benefited from the extensive input of members, higher education institutions (HEIs) and industry representatives, in addition to the continued involvement of AMRC’s industry working group.

These principles and guidelines are not intended to be prescriptive; rather, we hope that they may serve as a road-map to guide both medical research charities and the healthcare industries toward forming open and productive partnerships, to benefit patients and the wider UK public.

As well as the document itself, users can access additional policies on working with industry, as currently implemented by AMRC members.
