APPG for Life Sciences

For a number of years, the AMRC provided the secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Medical Research alongside other organisations including some of our member charities. However, due to rule changes and to better reflect the breadth of the sector, we decided to partner with charities, trade associations and an academy to support a refreshed APPG for Life Sciences.

This cross-party group of MPs and peers is chaired by Rt Hon Kit Malthouse MP. Its steering group is coordinated by the AMRC and the BioIndustry Association. The APPG’s mission is to raise awareness of how life sciences benefits the health and wealth of the nation, largely through a programme of topical events for parliamentarians as well as a regular newsletter.

We’ll soon be adding further information to this page about the work of the group and how you can get involved. For more information in the meantime, please contact Louise Wren [email protected].
