On Tuesday 24 March, we held our first ever virtual workshop on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in research.

During the first part of the day, we explored current progress on EDI within research, why diversity in research matters and how we can build it into research. In the afternoon sessions, we discussed what tools we need for change, what mistakes were made and learned from, and top tips on how we can improve and promote EDI.

Attendees were provided with the opportunity to ask speakers questions via Q&A and were able to chat with other delegates.

We promised to send attendees the presentations from the day but please bear with us as we are, like you, struggling with staff shortages due to COVID-19. We will get these to you as soon as possible.

We have decided to move some of our events to a virtual format to continue to enable our members and supporters to come together, learn and collaborate. If you are interested to hear more about the events we will be running or would like some guidance on moving your own events online you can contact our Events Manager, Gill.
