Purpose
The advancement of medical and health research in the United Kingdom and in particular the advancement and promotion of the collective effectiveness of those charities for which a principal activity is medical research

Services and support that enable member charities to be effective research funders
Leadership that is focused on developing solutions in collaboration with member charities and our external partners to key issues facing the sector
An external environment that is enabling of the work of medical research charities
Objectives
We will establish AMRC membership as the mark of quality in the sector
We will lead the ongoing development of robust peer review practices and standards in all medical research charities
We will develop the capabilities of the sector through the provision of high quality information, guidance and training
We will champion the role of charities in sustaining high quality research of benefit to patients, with Government, policy-makers, regulators and the media
We will work with our member charities and partners to help them engage and involve patients and the public in their research
